
Dr. Florian Röper

Dr. Florian Röper was born in Vienna (Austria) on September 4th, 1982. He holds a diploma in Materials Science from the Montanuniversität Leoben (Austria) and a PhD also from the Montanuniversität Leoben (Austria). In his PhD thesis he investigated structural bonds for aircraft repairs and wrote a thesis titled: “Structural Integrity and Durability of Adhesively Bonded Joints for Composite Repair in Aircraft Applications”. Before joining the Austrian Foundry Institute (Österreichisches Gießere-Institut) in Leoben (Austria), Dr. Röper was employed at the Polymer Competence Center Leoben GmbH as a doctoral and post-doctoral researcher. During this time, he published peer reviewed as well as conference papers for international conferences. E.g., at the European Conference on Composite Materials (ECCM) and at the International Conference on Composite Materials (ICCM). He also was in charge of national funded research projects. At the Austrian Foundry Institute (Österreichisches Gießerei-Institut), Dr. Röper’s main focus is Computed Tomography (CT). He also is head of the CT laboratory and project leader of national funded research projects.
